What is the Romania solar procurement context?
The European Commission lists the final updated Romanian National Energy and Climate Plan. The ANRE prosumer page was updated on 7 August 2026, and current regulations include 2026 connection and capacity-allocation rules. These sources describe public policy and project routes; they are not evidence of a JUSTSOLAR order, stock position, customer relationship, project award, fixed price, product approval or import clearance.
Which Romania grid route applies?
Start with project category and capacity, then identify the named network operator. Prosumer technical evidence, capacity allocation, connection approval and module supply are separate decisions.
Production or storage at or above 5 MW
ANRE states that the capacity-allocation methodology applies from 1 January 2026 to qualifying new generation, storage and additional export-capacity routes at or above 5 MW.

EU import and Romania project review
Energy regulation, grid connection, product conformity and customs are separate questions. The importer and project team should identify the current route before model or shipment claims are made.
- Identify the EU importer, destination, intended use and customs classification for the exact product.
- Separate prosumer, commercial and industrial, and utility-scale project or grid-connection routes.
- For a prosumer route up to 400 kW per consumption point, check the current ANRE steps and the named distribution-system operator.
- For a new production or storage route at or above 5 MW, check whether the capacity-allocation methodology effective from 1 January 2026 applies.
- For every other route, name the distribution or transmission operator, connection point, voltage and current document status.
- Define the equipment certificates, technical sheets, protection settings and connection evidence requested for the exact installation.
- Check current licensing, connection, EU product, labelling, WEEE, customs and tariff requirements before shipment.

Is a module generally ANRE approved for every Romanian project?
That wording is too broad. ANRE publishes energy-market and connection rules, while the distribution-system operator reviews the applicable connection process and technical evidence for the exact equipment and installation. Product, importer, customs, grid and project requirements remain separate checks.
Which Romania grid route should a project buyer identify first?
Identify whether the request is a prosumer route up to 400 kW per consumption point, a qualifying production or storage route at or above 5 MW, or another project connection route. Then provide the named DSO or transmission operator, connection point, voltage, installed and export capacity, storage scope, and current connection-document status. A module quote does not create ANRE approval or reserve grid capacity.
Does CBAM automatically add a carbon charge to imported finished solar modules?
The European Commission's current sector page lists cement, aluminium, fertilisers, iron and steel, hydrogen, and electricity as the six CBAM sectors; it does not list finished photovoltaic modules as a separate sector. The importer must still check the exact CN code, product composition and current rules. JUSTSOLAR does not promise a special origin or routing workaround.
Which module is best for a Romanian project?
There is no universal best wattage or technology. The project team should define electrical design, dimensions, site conditions, grid route, requested documents, quantity and delivery basis before a model is reviewed.
