Germany Solar Import FAQ
Does CBAM affect solar panels imported to Germany?▼
Yes. The EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) entered full force January 2026. Chinese-origin solar modules face carbon price adjustment based on embedded emissions vs EU ETS baseline. Financial impact: ~€0.005-0.015/Wp depending on module, which compounds over container orders. JUSTSOLAR's Macedonia factory (non-EU but EU-aligned origin) is a proven CBAM mitigation path — modules ship with Certificate of Origin + embedded emissions declaration compliant with EU format.
What certifications are required for solar panels in Germany?▼
CE marking mandatory (Low Voltage Directive + EMC Directive). IEC 61215 + IEC 61730 tested (we provide). VDE approval preferred by premium Fachgroßhandel (wholesalers) and Installateur Meister networks. For grid interconnection under EEG: Netzeinspeisung application via local DSO (Deutsche Stromnetz Betreiber). For residential <30kWp: simplified process; commercial 30-100kWp: engineering reports required.
Why is shipping from Shanghai to Germany 30-35 days?▼
Via Suez Canal + Mediterranean + North Sea. Hamburg: 30-35 days direct. Rotterdam often faster for southern DE destinations. Inland: Hamburg has efficient rail/truck to Berlin, Munich, Stuttgart. Rotterdam connects via Rhine barge for Ruhr, Frankfurt, southern DE cheaper.
Can JUSTSOLAR supply Fachgroßhandel (wholesale network)?▼
Yes — we supply distribution partners serving Germany's strong installer network. For the Fachgroßhandel premium segment (Memodo, BayWa r.e., Krannich Solar distribution analogs), our Macedonia-origin 600W TOPCon with EU CBAM compliance is competitive. Contact us about long-term supply agreement tiering.
Is HJT or TOPCon better for German climate?▼
TOPCon 600W is typically the sweet spot for German installations — balanced $/W + efficiency + CBAM cost. HJT 730W is optimal only in specific scenarios: limited rooftop space requiring max watt/m² density (e.g., dense urban warehouse rooftops), or projects where the premium pays back through real estate value uplift. For most German installations, TOPCon 600W matches Tier-1 performance at better $/W.
What payment terms for German buyers?▼
Payment terms are confirmed in the formal PI. For new German buyers and most first orders, JUSTSOLAR uses 100% T/T before shipment. Any exception requires written approval from Frank and will be stated in the PI. USD or EUR may be reviewed in the PI.
Who are your German customers?▼
We supply Fachgroßhandel tier distributors, C&I EPCs focused on commercial rooftop (retail chains, manufacturing facilities), and specialty developers doing agri-PV + carport. Also active in residential segment via approved installer networks. English support via Frank — we have German-speaking technical staff for complex queries on request.
