A buyer-owned inspection plan for module traceability, visual review, EL and I-V evidence, sampling, loading records and formal acceptance.

Short Answer: Define Acceptance Before Production

A useful inspection starts with a written inspection and test plan, not a generic promise to test quality. Tie the purchase order to the approved model, bill of materials or change-control route, lot, serial-number range, sampling plan, test method, equipment, report format, acceptance criteria, retest rule and escalation path.

Design Qualification Is Not Shipment Acceptance

IEC 61215 addresses design qualification and type approval. The IEC scope also states that qualification results are not a quantitative prediction of module lifetime. Confirm that the certificate and supporting report cover the exact offered model and relevant construction, then define separate evidence for the production lot being purchased.

EL Is Evidence, Not an Automatic Verdict

IEC TS 60904-13 covers capturing and processing module electroluminescence images and guidance for interpretation. Require the image to map to the module serial number and record the test setup, applied current, image conditions and review rule. A dark feature is not, by itself, a contractual pass or fail; the agreed acceptance criteria and competent interpretation control the decision.

Treat I-V Data as a Traceable Measurement

IEC 60904-1 describes procedures for measuring photovoltaic current-voltage characteristics. For flash or solar-simulator I-V data, the inspection plan should identify the measured parameters, reference conditions, calibration and correction method, measurement uncertainty, serial-number mapping and contractual tolerance. A spreadsheet without traceability does not prove that the offered lot meets the purchase specification.

Sampling Does Not Prove the Whole Lot

Choose the sampling plan from project risk, lot size, change history and contract requirements. Record how samples are selected and what triggers expanded sampling, retesting, hold or rejection. A sample result does not certify every module, while a supplier's full-lot data set does not replace independent acceptance when the contract requires it.

Build a Loading-to-Arrival Evidence Chain

Before loading, agree the packaging drawing, pallet and serial labels, quantity reconciliation, container condition, securing method and required photos. Record the seal, loaded count and exceptions. At arrival, preserve seal, pallet, package and visible-condition evidence before installation, then follow the notice and claim procedure in the carrier, insurance and sales documents.

Use Third-Party Inspection With a Defined Scope

An independent inspector can witness specified checks, sample modules, review records and supervise loading, but the inspector does not create missing acceptance criteria. State the required competence, laboratory or equipment evidence, deliverables, access, timing, costs and responsibility in the contract. Confirm the exact scope before relying on a company name or logo.

Submit the Inspection Requirement

Use the RFQ button below and send country, buyer type, destination port, product target and volume. Add the lot size, required standards, inspection stage, sampling or full-lot requirement and acceptance criteria when available. Frank Yang reviews fit at Director level; inspection scope, documents, price, availability, delivery, warranty and payment terms are confirmed only in the formal response, offer or PI.
