Private-Label Solar Panels: How Distributors Build Margin in 2026

A simple private-label playbook for solar distributors, agents and installers who want their own brand without building a factory.

Private label is a margin strategy, not decoration

A distributor does not build a private-label solar module brand just to put a logo on a nameplate. The goal is repeat customer ownership. If installers in your market buy only public manufacturer brands, your business becomes a price comparison desk. If they trust your local brand, your warranty process, your availability and your technical support, you own more of the customer relationship.

The right buyer profile

Private label fits distributors with installer relationships, agents who already move containers, regional wholesalers with warehouse capacity, and installation companies that want to package modules, inverters, batteries and accessories under one offer. It is weaker for one-time buyers, very small retail shops, or projects where a lender requires a specific public Tier-1 brand.

What JUSTSOLAR can customize

A simple starter program can use standard module specs with your brand nameplate and packaging. Deeper programs can add carton design, pallet labels, serial format, frame choices, document branding and certification pathway. We keep sensitive customer and supplier information under NDA. We also do not publish private-label customer names unless the customer asks us to.

How to keep the first shipment simple

The first private-label shipment should prove quality and sell-through, not solve every future product idea. Choose one or two mainstream SKUs, agree on label and packaging, confirm country certifications, run the first container or container set, and collect installer feedback. Once repeat demand is visible, then expand wattages, frame options and annual forecast.

What to send in a private-label RFQ

Send target country, buyer channel, first container volume, annual target, module wattage, frame preference, brand name, packaging needs, certification needs and target price. If you have local competitor brands, share two or three examples. That helps us decide whether the program can beat your market price while still protecting quality and warranty.

Where to start

Use the private-label page at https://justsolar.cn/private-label-solar-panels or send Frank a direct RFQ at https://justsolar.cn/rfq. If the order is not large enough for private label yet, we can start with JUSTSOLAR-brand stock and move into OEM once volume is proven.
