What is the UAE solar procurement context?
The updated UAE Energy Strategy 2050 aims to triple the contribution of renewable energy by 2030. The federal distributed-renewable framework requires approval from the relevant authority and a linkage agreement with the service provider. Dubai, Abu Dhabi and EtihadWE-served premises therefore cannot be treated as one generic connection route. These policies are not evidence of a JUSTSOLAR order, inventory, equipment eligibility or project award.
Dubai - DEWA route
Name Shams Dubai or the applicable D33 route, connection type and exact equipment status. DEWA states that the legacy PDF equipment list is obsolete; check the live portal and current connection file.
Abu Dhabi - DoE route
State the premises category, per-site capacity, total self-supply scope, battery storage and network operator. The 2026 DoE policy covers distributed PV with or without storage, while licensing and connection evidence remain project-specific.
EtihadWE service area
Name the served premises, approved contractor and combined capacity. The current DSS guideline covers distribution-connected systems up to 1 MW at one premises and excludes larger or off-grid systems from that small-system scope.

UAE conformity and utility-route review
MoIAT operates the federal conformity service for regulated products. Dubai grid-connected PV uses the DEWA route; Abu Dhabi DoE and EtihadWE publish separate policy, equipment, licensing or connection scopes. None should be treated as blanket approval for every model, system size or emirate.
- Identify the destination emirate, named authority or service provider, importer, system size, storage scope and whether the product is for resale, off-grid use or a grid-connected project.
- For Dubai, verify the current Shams Dubai or applicable D33 route, DEWA standards, live equipment status and connection file for the exact model.
- For Abu Dhabi, identify the premises category, capacity, storage and applicable DoE self-supply, licensing and network-connection route.
- Where EtihadWE is the service provider, compare the project with its current distributed-solar scope before using a small-system connection assumption.
- For a regulated product, confirm the current MoIAT conformity-assessment route with the UAE importer before shipment.
- Define the requested test reports, product labels, manuals and project-specific technical documents.
- Treat every eligibility or conformity statement as model-, project- and shipment-specific until documentary review is complete.
Site-condition specification review
Do not select a module only from a generic temperature, wattage or technology claim. Define the site, electrical design and evidence required for the exact project.

Does JUSTSOLAR publish a fixed UAE module or CIF price?
No. Product specification, quantity, destination, requested Incoterm, schedule and compliance scope must be reviewed before Frank or the Director confirms a formal offer and PI.
Is every JUSTSOLAR module automatically eligible for DEWA projects?
No public page should make that claim. DEWA maintains a current equipment-enrollment process and a dynamic eligible-equipment list. The exact model, reports and project route must be verified before a Dubai grid-connected supply decision.
Which standards does DEWA currently reference for PV module eligibility?
DEWA currently lists IEC 61215, IEC 61730 and IEC 61701 among its minimum PV-module eligibility references, with additional evidence for some environments. Buyers must check the current DEWA page and exact project requirements rather than rely on this summary alone.
Which UAE authority or service provider should a buyer name?
Name the destination emirate and the authority or service provider shown in the project-owned connection documents. Dubai, Abu Dhabi and EtihadWE-served premises use different policy, licensing, equipment and connection routes; a federal conformity record does not replace those project checks.
Can a buyer rely on an old DEWA eligible-equipment PDF?
No. DEWA's current equipment page says the legacy PDF list is obsolete and equipment included before the web portal must be re-registered. Check the live equipment status, exact model and current connection requirements.
Does Abu Dhabi's 2026 self-supply policy approve every PV or battery project?
No. The DoE policy creates a current framework for distributed PV with or without battery storage, but the premises category, capacity, licence, network connection and technical evidence still need project-specific review.
Does the EtihadWE DSS small-system route cover projects above 1 MW or off-grid systems?
No. The current guideline covers distribution-connected DSS with combined capacity at one premises not exceeding 1 MW. It excludes larger systems and systems not connected to the distribution network from that scope.
