A useful EPC contract identifies the parties, document hierarchy, project scope, interfaces, evidence, acceptance process, commercial mechanisms and change procedure before work starts. Penalties, guarantees, payment milestones and warranty terms must be negotiated for the actual project rather than copied from a universal percentage or timetable.
