Solar module at a factory quality-control station

Buyer evidence guide | Reviewed 24 August 2026

Solar Module Quality Evidence

Verify the exact model, legal manufacturer, production site, document scope, lot records and order terms. A quality page alone does not prove that an offered module is certified.

Short answer

Quality evidence is order-specific. Match the exact product, legal entities, factory, certificate or test-report scope, inspection plan and serial-level lot records. Keep the accepted scope in the dated quote, PI or referenced order documents.

The Evidence Map

Do not accept a logo, certificate name or factory photograph as a substitute for this identity chain.

01

Offered product

Match the exact model, nameplate, electrical ratings, construction and controlled bill of materials to the order.

02

Legal identities

Record the seller and PI issuer, legal manufacturer, production site, certificate or report holder and warranty party.

03

Document scope

Check the standard edition, report or certificate number, current status, annex, limitations and destination requirement.

04

Lot evidence

Define sampling, EL and I-V records, serial traceability, equipment calibration, acceptance criteria and non-conformance handling.

What the Standards Actually Show

Standards define test or construction frameworks. They do not by themselves identify the offered SKU, production site, current document status or shipment lot.

IEC 61215-1:2021
Design qualification and type approval
It evaluates a module design for long-term outdoor operation. IEC states that the results are not a quantitative prediction of module lifetime.
IEC 61730-1:2023
PV module safety construction
It addresses construction requirements for electrical and mechanical safety. IEC notes that it does not encompass every national or regional code.
IEC TS 60904-13:2018
Electroluminescence imaging
It describes how EL images are captured, processed and interpreted. The order still needs agreed capture stages and acceptance criteria.
IEC 60904-1:2020
Current-voltage measurement
It describes procedures for measuring PV I-V curves. A useful lot record also links the result to the module serial number and controlled equipment.

CE marking is a manufacturer declaration under applicable EU rules, not a generic third-party quality badge. EU importers and distributors also have compliance responsibilities for products placed on the EEA market.

Model to Shipment Review

Use one controlled path so the documents shown before purchase still match the product and lot that ship.

  1. 01

    Freeze the offer

Identify the exact model, factory, seller, quantity, destination and required market or tender documents.

  2. 02

    Match the documents

Compare model, holder, manufacturer, site, standard edition, report status, annex and label before relying on a claim.

  3. 03

    Set the lot plan

Agree inspection timing, sampling, EL and I-V evidence, serial traceability, acceptance criteria and escalation before production or shipment.

  4. 04

    Reference the order

Keep the accepted model, quality plan, inspection scope, warranty party and document set in the dated quote, PI or referenced order files.

Tier-1 OEM Boundary

JUSTSOLAR has Tier-1 OEM production experience protected by NDA. We do not publish customer or supplier names.

JUSTSOLAR does not claim a current BNEF Tier 1 listing. OEM manufacturing experience does not transfer another company's listing, establish bankability for a project or certify the offered model. BloombergNEF publishes its manufacturer classification quarterly using project and asset-finance data.

Request the Right Evidence

Send five buying details first. Add any required certificate, tender clause or inspection plan if known. Frank or Director reviews fit before any formal recommendation, quote or PI.

Start Qualified RFQ
1

Buyer type

Installer, distributor, agent, EPC, project owner or other qualified buyer.

2

Country

Destination country and any known market, grid or tender requirement.

3

Product

Module, OEM or private label, small module, cell or selected system component.

4

Quantity

Containers, MW, pieces, project quantity or expected purchasing cycle.

5

Destination port

Exact port, city or named delivery place for the commercial review.

Buyer Questions

Does an IEC standard name prove that the offered module is covered?

No. Match the exact offered model, legal manufacturer, production site, certificate or report holder, standard edition, current status, annex and controlled construction. A standard name on a website is not model-specific evidence.

Can JUSTSOLAR publish the Tier-1 OEM customer names?

No. Tier-1 OEM production experience is protected by NDA, so customer and supplier names are not published. It does not make JUSTSOLAR a current BNEF Tier 1 listed manufacturer, transfer another company's listing or certify the offered model.

What should I send for a quality and document review?

Send buyer type, country, product, quantity or MW or containers, and destination port or named place. Add any tender, certificate or inspection requirement you already know. Frank or Director reviews the applicable evidence before any formal recommendation, quote or PI.
